Nisin

  • Nisin is a polypeptide produced by Lactococcus lactis and can be safely used in all food products.

  • The use of Nisin will not affect the normal bacterial community, nor produce drug resistance orchiasmatic resistance as it happened when the antibiotics were used.

  • Nisin is a non-poisonous and highly efficacious food preservative/ anti-microbial agent.

  • Using natamycin does not change the nutritional value, appearance, flavour, and texture of foods.
